Lesson Plan 03/03/14-03/07/14

 

We are reading “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” by John Boyne. Students will be tested by chapters throughout the book with one unit test over the entire book in the end. Throughout the course of the reading students will have daily journals concerning certain events they have read prior, vocabulary test, and critical thinking assignments.

 

Journal for the day: Different topic everyday dealing with issues from the novel

 

Homework: Students will answer the question on their review for chapter or chapters we cover that day

 

Test: We will have a test every four chapter.

 

Students are expected to:

*Read when called upon

*Keep up within the book when the audiobook is reading the book

*Take notes on interesting events they feel are note taking worthy

E10. 218 Use scanning, note taking, outlining, study guide questions, and summaries to enhance understanding of the text.

E9. 129 Maintain a notebook or journal containing new words discovered each week through reading, listening to media, discussions, or conversations.
